SINGAPORE, Indonesia Today - SP Corporation Ltd, subsidiary of Tuan Sing Holdings---controlled by Nursalim family, recorded revenue of $187 million in FY2011, a 10% increase over the $171 million in FY2010, because of higher revenue from commodities trading and export tyre sales.
Commodities Trading Unit reported higher revenue of $129 million for FY2011, 16% higher than FY2010 because of higher trading in coal and metals, partially offset by lower rubber sales.
SP Corp, however, reported lower earnings of $2.5 million, 27% lower than $3.4 million in FY2010 mainly due to losses incurred by the Geotechnical & Soil Investigation Unit’s Singapore operations.
Geotechnical & Soil Investigation Unit recorded significantly lower revenue of $9 million in FY2011 compared to $16 million in FY2010 due to downsizing of its Singapore operation since 2Q2011 and poor drilling performance in Indonesia.
Tyre & Auto Products Unit reported revenue of $50 million in FY2011, 13% higher than $44 million in FY2010, because of higher export sales to Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and other markets in ASEAN. (Indonesia Today)
