Elnusa Secures US$24.48 Million Worth of Contract in West Papua

Theindonesiatoday.com - Oil and gas services company PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) said it had secured US$24.48 million worth of contract for transition seismic acquisition project in two bloks in West Papua.

The company said in a press statement issued today it will start to work on the project in the this end month until next six months as set in the contract.

It also invites a French-based leading international geoscience company to run the project under a joint operation scheme, in which Elnusa has the bigger portion of interest in the project.

Elnusa's works consist of recording and cable, support vessel, land transportation and survey.

Heru Samodra, Elnusa's corporate secretary, said transition zone and marine seismic contract is the biggest contributor for geoscience service division, contributed 60% (US$89 million) in the first half of 2010.

He added the company had as of july 2010 secured US$32.35 million worth of contract for land seismic acquisition.

Heru said Elnusa targets to book income from operation of Rp2.78 trillion for this year, of which geoscience business to contribute revenue of Rp1.44 trillion, while drilling and oilfield services are targeted to earn revenue of Rp732 billion and 601 billion, respectively.
