Theindonesiatoday.com - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) Jambi Merang, unit of state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina had in Tuesday signed gas sales and purchase agreement worth US$577 million, Investor Daily reported this morning.
Eddy Purnomo, Director of PHE Jambi Merang, said the company will suplly gas to PT Pembangunan Kota Batam, PD Pertambangan dan Energi Provinsi Sumatera Selatan and PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia.
He said PHE Jambi Merang will supply 38,309 billion British thermal unit (bbtu) of gas to PT Pembangunan Kota Batam, 48,400 bbtu to South Sumatera Regional Government and 8,030 bbtu to Chevron.
Eddy said gas supply contract with Chevron runs for one year while contracts with Batam and South Sumatera Regional Government will end by February 9, 2019.
He said Jambi Merang block is expected to start producing gas in December 10, 2010. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
