Theindonesiatoday.com - Two state banks, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) will provide syndicated loan of up to Rp15 trillion for state utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Investor Daily reported this morning.
PLN needs Rp70 trillion for funding its investment this year.
Zulkifli Zaini, president director of Bank Mandiri, said Mandiri allocates loan for corporate up to Rp50 trillion for this year but based on the regulation the bank only allocates maximum Rp12 trillion loan for a company.
He said Bank Mandiri has allocated Rp4.2 trillion for funding the infrastructure development of the electricity, of which Rp2 trillion loan had been disbursed.
Meanwhile, Gatot Suwondo, BNI's president director, said BNI allocates Rp10-15 trillion loan for funding electricity segment in next 4 years. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
