JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - Plantation firm PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) sold 124,000 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in December 2011, grew 11.8% from 111,400 tons in November 2010. The figure increased 4.7% compared to 119,000 tons sold in November 2011.
For the whole year of 2011, AALI's CPO sales volume reached 1.3 million tons, an increase of 12.9% compared to 2010. In the local market, AALI's CPO sales volume reached 1.2 million tons or absorbed 95.3% of the total sales volume, while in the export market AALI's CPO sales volume reached 59,418 tons.
While, AALI's CPO average selling price increased by 7.8% from Rp 7,027 /kg to Rp 7,576 /kg while AALI's kernel average selling price increased by 5.9% from Rp 4,070/kg to Rp 4,309/kg. AALI's kernel sales volume reached 198,561 tons or grew by 34.5% compared to 147,595 tons in 2010.
AALI gained 0.45% to Rp22,200 per share at the morning close. At this price, it has market capitalization of Rp34.95 trillion.(hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
