Theindonesiatoday.com - Plantation company PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) posted net profit of Rp1.32 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2011, jumped 99% from Rp662 billion in the corresponding period of 2010.
It recorded earning per share (EPS) of Rp806, compared to Rp404 a previous year. The company said revenue increased 51% to Rp5.29 trillion trillion from Rp3.52 trillion a year earlier.
Gross profit grew by 67.9% to Rp2.06 trillion from previous Rp1.23 trillion while operating profit jumped 81.7% to Rp1.73 trillion from Rp954 billion in the first half of 2010.
As of June 2011, its assets totaled Rp9.69 trillion while liability amounted Rp1.98 trillion. (teguh@theindonesiatoday.com)
