Theindonesiatoday.com - Nokia Corporation's market share in Asia Pacific declined last year as a result of market share losses in several markets, including Indonesia.
Nokia Corporation reported net sales of 42.4 billion euro last year, increased 4% from 2009. Asia Pacific contributed 21% of Nokia's net sales last year, while Greater China accounted to 18% (increased from 16% in 2009).
Nokia said in its interim report to shareholders that it losses market share in India, SINGAPORE, Vietnam, and some other countries, but was partly offset by market share increases, for example, in Australia, Thailand, and Philippines.
Indonesia was still in the Top 10 markets (ranked 10) of Nokia last year, but declined substantially from rank 7 in 2009. China and India remained the first and second largest market for Nokia. Brazil jumped from 9th to 6th largest, while UK dropped from 3rd to seventh. (Theindonesiatoday.com)
