Theindonesiatoday.com - Dangdut singer Saipul Jamil will be named suspect in a traffic accident case which killed his wife Virginia Anggraeni last Saturday (Sept 3rd).
"He will eventually be named suspect, but we haven't examined him to respect his loss of wife in the accident," said spokesperson of West Java regional police to Elshinta radio today.
Anton Bachrul Alam, spokesperson of National Police, meanwhile, told some online publications today that Saipul, driver of the car, has been named suspect for negligence that cost lives.
Anton said Saipul can be charged for violating Article 310 paragraph 4 of Law No 22/2009 about Traffic, punishable to a maximum six years imprisonment.
The Toyota Avanza car driven by Saipul was reportedly overloaded by 10 passengers, while the car's brake system didn't work properly.
Saipul, reportedly a cadre of President SBY's Demokrat Party, married to Virginia on March 2011 after divorcing famous dangdut singer Dewi Persik. (haryanto@theindonesiatoday.com)
