Astra Group, Targets Rp60 Trillion Financing This Year

JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - Financing unit of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) targets to book new financing of Rp60 trillion this year, grew 13% compared to Rp53 trillion last year, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Gunawan Geniusahardja, Astra's director, said the growth in new financing is targeted alongwith the increasing demand this year, in car, motorcycle and heavy equipment.

Astra's financing units are PT Astra Sedaya Finance (ASF), PT Toyota Astra Finance (TAF), PT Federal International Finance (FIF), PT Surya Artha Nusantara Finance (SAN Finance), and PT Komatsu Astra Finance.

Gunawan said Astra Group will fund its new financing for this year from its internal cash (30%) and external sources such as bank loan and bonds.

Astra Sedaya plans to launch Rp8 trillion bond program for 2 years period, with the first phase amounting Rp2 trillion scheduled for the first half of this year.

While SAN Finance plans to issue bonds worth Rp1.5 trillion. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
