MNC Targets 35% Profit Growth This Year

JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - PT Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN) Tbk, parent company of RCTI, GlobalTV, and MNC TV, projects net income to grow at 38% to Rp1.5 trillion, equal to an EPS (undiluted) of Rp107.

Net profit margin is projected at 23% for this year higher than for year 2011 of 20%. Dividend payout for fiscal year 2012 will be at least 45%.

MNC annual shareholders’ meeting is scheduled on 30th April 2012 with one of the agenda being a proposal to declare total dividend for fiscal  year 2011 of around Rp485 billion, equal to Rp35 per share, an increase of 133% from fiscal year 2010.

Economic growth is projected at 6.7% with a 15% growth in advertising spending. MNC’s consolidated revenue is projected to grow at 23% for 2012.

"We are targeting an aggregate average audience share of 39% through a programming line-up consisting of highly rated drama series from RCTI and MNCTV’s drama series produced by MD Entertainment that have continued to show strong ratings since the start of 2012 and should contribute substantially to consolidated revenues," the company said.

In 2012, MNC said it will commence the exclusive broadcast of the highly rated Euro Cup 2012 and continue to broadcast the Indonesian Premier League. The company will also embark on a new venture of producing a few in-house animated series targeted to appeal to the Indonesian audience and international viewers.

"We are projecting stronger revenues contributions from Content through the addition of 7 more channels from the existing 10 channels consisting of MNC Comedy, MNC Golf, MNC Drama, MNC Movie, MNC Infotainment, MNC Fashion and MNC Kids," it said.

In 2011, MNC said net income grew significantly by 47% to Rp1.1 trillion, with income from operations growing by 34% to Rp1.6 trillion. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
