Theindonesiatoday.com - Businessman Chairul Tanjung, owner of Trans Corp, intends to acquire franchise license of Wendy's fast food restaurant from PT Wendy Citarasa, Kontan.co.id reported.
Ishadi SK, commissioner and spokesperson of Trans Corp, said the acquisition of Wendy's is remain discussed among the management, then he did not explain on the detail of plan for the sake of the value or price building.
One manager of Wendy's admits that Wendy's currently enjoys the interesting profit with around 100 peoples taking food in Wendy's restaurant.
Wendy's current restaurants or outlets total around 30 in the country. It offers fast food package priced of between Rp18,000 per package to Rp35,000.
Meanwhile, Ignatius Yoelarto, operation director of PT Trans Ice, said CT Corp also plans to expand its Baskin-Robbins ice cream to reach 1,000 outlets, from 302 outlets by end of 2011. For this year, he said, Trans Ice targets 400-500 outlets of ice cream.
CT Corp earlier said it plans to develop new city with US$2 billion in the suburb of JAKARTA, to be called Trans City, will start its construction early next year. The project is currently in the design process.
The project, involving 10 architecture bureaus, will be developed over 120 hectares of land, where certain sections will be commercial in 2014 and 2015. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
