SAN RAMON, Indonesia Today - Chevron Corporation, parent of PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia---the largest crude oil producer in Indonesia, booked net profit of US$26.9 billion last year, surged 41 percent from 2010 despite softening in the fourth quarter of 2011.
The company reported net earnings of US$5.1 billion in Q4/2011, down slightly from US$5.3 billion it booked in the same period of 2010. Chevron reported sales revenue of US$253,7 billion last year, increased 23.8% from 2011.
Worldwide net oil-equivalent production was 2.64 million barrels per day in the fourth quarter 2011, down from 2.79 million barrels per day in the 2010 fourth quarter.
The average sales price for crude oil and natural gas liquids from its international operation in the 2011 fourth quarter was $101 per barrel, up from $79 a year earlier. The average price of natural gas was $5.55 per thousand cubic feet, compared with $4.81 in last year’s fourth quarter.
Capital and exploratory expenditures in 2011 were $29.1 billion, compared with $21.8 billion in 2010. (Indonesia Today)
