Theindonesiatoday.com - Cokal Ltd has completed the initial geological report for Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) coal project which confirms 60 million tons inferred resource of metallurgical coal in accordance with JORC Code.
The coal quality is all metallurgical coal products comprising 60% of coking coal and 40% of PCI. The maiden inferred resource estimate covers an area which occupies only 8% of the total lease area.
“There is significant upside potential as the drilling program extends into the remaining areas of the BBM lease,” CEO Pat Hanna commented.
BBM covers an area of 19,920ga, immediately adjacent to BHP’s Juloi tenement, stradding the Barito River and has numerous outcrops of bright coal. Another Cokal tenement, BBP, covers an area of 13,050 ha and adjacent to BHP’s Maruwai tenement. (bintang@theindonesiatoday.com)
