Theindonesiatoday.com - Energy stocks are mostly in red zone in the region this morning as Nymex crude oil eases off to US$98 per barrel in Asian trading.
In the coal sector, China Shenhua and China Coal down 3.26% and 1.74% in Hong Kong for profit taking, while Berau Coal and Bumi Resources slip 1.2% and 1.11% in JAKARTA. BHP and Rio Tinto cut their earlier gains to 0.2% and 1% respectively, while Gloucester and Whitehaven lost 2.36% and 3.48% respectively in SYDNEY.
In the oil and gas sector, Sinopec drops 3.25% in Hong Kong, while PetroChina and CNOOC down 2.11% and 1.79% each. In Jakarta, PGN and Energi Mega Persada down 0.8% and 1.24% respectively, while Santos and Woodside drop 1.34% and 2.1% in Sydney.
Last night, Chevron lost 2.73% in New York, while ExxonMobil inched up 0.16%. Nymex crude has jumped 30% from its lowest level of US$76 per barrel to US$99 in the past few weeks. (Theindonesiatoday.com)
