Alam Sutera, Downsizes Bond Issue to Rp800 Billion

JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - Property developer PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (ASRI) downsizes its planned bond issuance to Rp800 billion from previous plan Rp1.1 trillion.

The bond issuance is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012, to fund land acquisition, Investor Daily reported this morning.

The company reportedly needs fund of Rp2 trillion for the land acquisition in Serpong, Pasar Kemis and Bali. The rest Rp1.2 trillion fund, as bonds will fund Rp800 billion, will come from bank loan and proceeds on non pre-emptive rights issue.

It has loan commitment of Rp900 billion from one local bank while proceeds from rights issue is expected for Rp785 billion.

Alam Sutera earlier said it will invest Rp3 trillion in 3 projects this year; Pasar Kamis expansion, Serpong and Bali projects.

It plans to build international-standard convention center in Alam Sutera's CBD complex in mid of this year. Nathan Tanugraha, ASRI's corporate finance & investor relation, said the project will cost Rp1.5 trillion.

He added Alam Sutera had also topped off its office tower costing Rp150 billion. The office tower with 20 floors, Nathan said, will be opened in July this year. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
