Theindonesiatoday.com - Baltic Dry Index, a gauge for international shipment of bulk materials, dropped 3.7% for the week ended July 15.
Metals prices ended the week mixed, with aluminium and zinc down 2.1% and 1.5% respectively, while lead slipped 0.3%.
Nickel, meanwhile, gained 2% to US$23,840 per ton. Copper also added 1.2% to US$9,655 per ton, while tin gained 1% to US$27,400 per ton.
Other commodities mostly gained, with CPO futures advanced 1.2% to RM3,115 per ton. In the physical market in Indonesia, the commodity surged 4.4% to Rp8,327 per Kg (including VAT 10%) ahead of the holly month of Ramadhan.
Nymex crude also gained 1.1% to US$97.24 per barrel, while Dated Brent down 0.1% to US$117.72 per barrel. (teguh@theindonesiatoday.com)
