Theindonesiatoday.com - PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) booked net profit of Rp10.08 trillion in the first half of 2011, jumped 32.2% from Rp7.63 trillion in the same period of last year.
It recorded earning per share (EPS) of Rp2,121, compared to Rp1,591 a previous year.
Revenue rose 24% to Rp76.26 trillion from Rp61.51 trillion a year earlier while cost of revenue increased 23.5% to Rp61.11 trillion from previous Rp49.49 trillion.
The company booked gross profit of Rp15.15 trillion, higher than Rp12.01 trillion in the first half of 2010.
As operating expenses reached Rp6.72 trillion, it recorded operating profit of Rp8.44 trillion, a 26.5 increase compared to Rp6.67 trillion a previous year.
As of June 2011, its assets totaled Rp136.16 trillion while liability amounted Rp69.12 trillion. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
