Theindonesiatoday.com - Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has made 4 consecutive runs of corrections as today the JAKARTA Composite Index (IDX) fell 0.85% to close at 3,658.31. Though almost all of the stocks were under pressure during the day, the market made a slight rebound ahead of the closing.
The worst performance was made by Astra Agro which retreated 3.63%, Indosat lost 3.54%, Timah dropped 3.57%, and Antam fell 3.06%. Lippo Karawaci shed 2.82% after dropping up to 8% early trade.
Bakrie stocks were also under pressure, except ELTY and Dewa that surged 3.82% and 1.35% respectively. BRMS lost 2.9%, BTEL dropped 2.08%, ENRG retreated 1.52%, and Borneo and Bumi lost steam 0.77% and 0.84%, respectively.
Asian indexes also mostly crashed. Hang Seng lost 1.95%, Straits Times and Shanghai SSE lost ground 0.94% and 0.54%, respectively, while FTSE and Nikkei slipped.
Crude oil in New York Mercantile Exchange had slipped 0.67% to US$87.69 per barrel. (bintang@theindonesiatoday.com)
