PT Pan Brothers Tbk (PBRX), holders of some of world well-known garment brands in Indonesia, is expecting its net profit and revenues this year to be little changed from last year.In 2009, the company posted net profit and revenues of Rp33.28 billion and Rp1.59 trillion respectively.
President director of Pan Brothers Ludijanto Setijo was quoted by Investor Daily that the company still exported 70 percent of its products to US and 30 percent to Europe. Exports to these two destinations have improved since last year.
For this year, the company also stated it is still focusing on maintaining old brands and seeking for new buyers. It also allocates capital expenditure of US$1.5 – 2 million, which is planned to increase garment factory capacity in Boyolali, Central Java, to 3.3 million pieces per month. The capex came from the 2009 retained net profit, as the company didn’t distribute any dividend this year.
At 10.45 a.m., on Wednesday (23/6), the company’s shares stood at Rp460 or gained 5 points from previous day’s close.
