IDX Closes Morning Down 0.32% on Profit Taking

Theindonesiatoday.com - Following the recent gaining in previous trading days, composite index of the ^{Indonesia Stock Exchange} (IDX) closed morning trade down 0.32% at 3,941.00 due to profit taking.

In blue chip stocks, Astra International dropped 2.41%, Bank BCA fell 0.63%, Bank BRI lost 1.45%, and PT Telkom down 0.69%, while Bank Mandiri stood flat.

Miners stocks also closed morning in red. Bukit Asam fell 2.58%, Energi Mega Persada lost 2.44%, Harum Energy shed 2.06%, Indika Energi declined 1.31%, and United Tractors inched down 0.40%. Meanwhile, Bumi Resources and Adaro Energy gained 0.84% and 0.99% respectively.

For plantations, Gozco Plantation and Bakrie Sumatera Plantations dropped 1.33% and 1.19% respectively. Astra Agro Lestari alse fell 0.86%.

In regional markets, Straits Times and BSE Sensex declined 0.70% and 0.41% respectively, while All Ordinaries, SSE, Hang Seng, and Nikkei fell marginally.

Bank Indonesia said Rupiah was traded at Rp8,540 per US Dollar. Crude oil traded weaker at US$94 per barrel. (bintang@theindonesiatoday.com)
