JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - PT Bank Himpunan Saudara 1906 Tbk (SDRA) plans to issue bonds worth Rp300 billion in the second half of this year for supporting the capital adequacy ratio (CAR), Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.
Yanto M. Purbo, Bank Saudara's president director, said the bank targets to maintain its CAR at 15% by end of this year. As of September 2011, the bank's CAR reached 15.14%.
He however said earlier Bank Saudara plans to issue subordinated bonds (subdebt) worth Rp300 billion in 2012, for boosting its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) to 19%.
Yanto said the subdebt aims to support the bank's loan growth of 40% compared to Rp5 trillion estimated for last year end.
He added the bank also plans to open 15 new branches in some cities, including Batu-Malang and Palembang.
Bank Saudara had raised Rp150 billion via bonds issuance late November 2011 for funding loan expansion.
Yanto also said Bank Saudara has received offering from 10 foreign banks, such as from Asia, Middle East and Australia, to acquire the bank. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
