Theindonesiatoday.com - Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.74% at 3,293.51 this morning while regional markets were mixed.
Dow Jones of Wall Street gained 1.44% and Nasdaq rose 2.95% on Tuesday (Oct. 4), helped by the rally ahead of closing.
In Europe, FTSE and DAX were remain under pressure, falling 2.58% and 2.98% each. Concerns about financial conditions in Europe and Greece's ability to pay its debts still weighed on market sentiment.
In regional, All Ordinaries gained 0.57%, KLSE rose 0.59%, Straits Times increased 0.33% and NZSE inched up 0.1%. While Hang Seng dropped 3.4%, Kospi fell 1.98%, Nikkei down 0.83% and Shanghai declined 0.25%.
In JAKARTA bourse, Bumi Resources gained 3.73%, Adaro Energy rose 2.61%, Lippo Karawaci climbed 3.39%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia added 1.89%, Bank Mandiri advanced 0.9%, Astra International gained 0.6%, Lippo Cikarang rose 2.7% and Intraco Penta jumped 3.39%.
Crude oil rose rose 2.55% to US$77.60 per barrel. The rupiah further weakened to Rp8,960 against the US Dollar. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
